Session recording

Record a full gaming session with REC, then find the long video in Sequences. Recording starts from an active game capture, with its own folder and quality settings.

Record a full session (Ctrl+F10)

To record a full match (up to several hours), with game events embedded, use REC mode.

  1. Press Ctrl+F10 to start recording; press Ctrl+F10 again to stop it.
  2. Or click the capture capsule at the top → “Recording” page → big “Start REC (Ctrl+F10)” button.

REC can only start if a game is being captured. When stopping, a “Finalizing…” step can take up to about thirty seconds on large files — that’s normal.

Recording settings

  1. Go to Settings → Recording.
  2. Choose the recordings folder (default Videos\Momento\Recordings — separate from the short-clips folder).
  3. Choose the quality: Light (12 Mbit/s), Balanced (25 Mbit/s) or Cinema (50 Mbit/s).

The quality applies to the next REC; a recording in progress keeps its initial quality.

Recording

  • Recordings folder (separate from the clips folder).
  • REC quality: Light / Balanced / Cinema.
